Over his career, Bolton, Massachusetts, attorney Craig Korowski has demonstrated a commitment to representing individuals who cannot afford legal counsel. Certified as a bar advocate with Massachusetts’ Committee for Public Counsel Services, Craig Korowski also has earned distinction from the Boston Bar Association’s Volunteer Lawyers Project (VLP).

VLP serves members of the Greater Boston community who lack the financial resources to secure legal representation in civil proceedings. In providing pro bono services to these individuals, VLP endeavors to improve access to justice.

VLP carries out its work with the support of approximately 2,000 volunteer law professionals and students. Along with a small number of staff attorneys, these volunteers supply direct representation to clients. Beyond representation, VLP reaches out to its community by offering in-person assistance at Greater Boston courts, phone advice through the Eastern Region Legal Intake Helpline, and education programs for homeowners in lower-income brackets, among other legal services.

To ensure the quality of these services, VLP provides training and support to its volunteer attorneys. By joining VLP, volunteers also receive access to a range of benefits, such as career counseling and discounts on continuing education courses.
